Delta's emsembles
Delta College Chamber Choir
The Delta College Chamber Choir is a 12 to14 voice auditioned choral ensemble that performs literature written expressly for small chamber groups. We perform a wide variety of styles from all periods. The Chamber Choir typically performs two concerts per semester, and in some instances joins the Chorale in performing larger works.
In May of 2012, the Delta College Chamber Choir performed a special concert at St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York, as well as joining the Chorale in the festival performance at Carnegie Hall. On occasion, we also perform extra concerts both locally and across the state.
Chamber Choir rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 6 – 8pm in S131.

MUS 190 - Chamber Choir I, MUS 191 - Chamber Choir II, MUS 192 - Chamber Choir III and/or MUS 193 - Chamber Choir IV
Membership in the Chamber Choir is by audition only.
Delta College Chorale
The Delta College Chorale is the largest choral ensemble at Delta with a membership of 30 to 40 mixed (SATB) voices. We perform works written for large chorus from various musical periods and genres. The Chorale typically performs two concerts per semester, often with small instrumental ensembles, and occasionally with a full orchestra.
In May of 2012, the Delta College Chorale combined with six other community college choirs to perform Mozart’s Regina Ceoli and Vivaldi’s Gloria, on stage in New York at Carnegie Hall.
Chorale rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 5 – 7pm in S131.
Which class should you take?
MUS 146 - Chorale I, MUS 147 - Chorale II, MUS 148 - Chorale III, and/or MUS 149 - Chorale IV
Membership in Chorale is open to any student or faculty and may be taken for credit.
Delta College Jazz Singers
The Delta College Jazz Singers is a 12 to 14 voice auditioned vocal jazz ensemble. Much of the literature we perform comes from original arrangements and compositions, as well as arrangements of well-known jazz standards. Typically, Jazz Singers performs two concerts a year and take an annual tour each winter semeste,r both locally and across the state.
Jazz Singers rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7 – 9pm in S131.
Which class should you take?
MUS 194 - Jazz Singers I, MUS 195 - Jazz Singers II, MUS 196 - Jazz Singers III, and/or MUS 197 - Jazz Singers IV
Membership in the Delta College Jazz Singers is by audition only.
