Transportation

Each day students, staff and faculty come from Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties, and beyond, to Delta's main campus and downtown centers. Whether you are traveling a distance to campus or live around the corner, our local mass transit partners offer several convenient and sustainable transportation options.

Public Bus Service

There are many benefits to public transportation - reduced traffic congestion in cities, less air pollution and healthier lifestyles, to name a few. Public transit produces significantly less air pollution per passenger mile than a standard car carrying a single driver, and buses emit 20 percent less carbon monoxide.

Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS)

Delta College has partnered with Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS) to develop Delta Direct, a free bus route for students and employees traveling to campus. Just show your Delta ID to ride.

The route will include four runs, beginning at 7am and ending at 10pm. The 20-minute, nonstop route will start at the Depot in downtown Saginaw and make trips to and from the main campus. It will run Monday through Thursday and coincide with common class times during the fall and winter semesters. The route does not run spring and summer semesters. Individuals can park their cars in the student/visitor parking lot at Delta’s Downtown Saginaw Center and ride the bus to campus.
