Letter from the Delta College Foundation Chair
Looking back, I see how much can change in such a short time. How passion and perseverance
continue to shape the journeys of Delta College students and alumni.
In the Fall 2024 issue of Journeys, I shared my thoughts on the importance of infusing passion into our lives. For me, those passions have included baseball and community, which led to my 12 years with the Great Lakes Loons and the Michigan Baseball Foundation. It was there that I met my good friend Eric Ramseyer, a Delta College alumnus, who is featured in this issue. His journey mirrors the same drive we see in so many Delta students.
This issue celebrates that drive as we highlight the Delta College Women’s Soccer Team, 2024 national champions, whose teamwork and grit set them above the rest. We introduce you to Isaiah Kabban, a dual enrolled student who graduated high school with two Delta College degrees and Natalie Sika, whose advocacy work is powered by positive change. We recognize the generosity of our donors that make these journeys possible with special features of two new scholarship endowments and a spotlight on a donor that’s been giving to the college since 1979.
I hope you find inspiration in these pages—just as I have. As the Chair of the Delta College Foundation Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Spring 2025 issue of Journeys.

Alumni Feature: Eric Ramseyer
For Eric Ramseyer, Delta College wasn’t just where he started his higher education—it was practically a second home. Growing up, he spent countless hours on campus, not just in classrooms or at the pool, but in the boiler rooms and other spaces most students don’t often see.
