Looking for a career where you can use your creativity? Art and design students graduating with an associate's degree leave Delta prepared to pursue gainful employment at regional art galleries, design firms, photography studios or printing businesses.
They are also primed to successfully transfer to four-year colleges and universities to obtain a bachelor's degree in art, art history, design or graphic design.
Delta College art department faculty members are practicing professional artists or
designers, as well as professional art and design academics. They each bring their
own wealth of creative and professional experiences into the classroom. The faculty
members in the art and design program prepare students to achieve proficiency in traditional,
new and emerging visual arts and technologies. Instructors are active professionally
in their fields of study throughout the community.

There's more: art on campus
Outside of the classroom, you will find works of art displayed throughout the halls and the outside grounds of campus. Delta strives to support the art community and provide a space to display and enjoy all types of artistic mediums.
Gallery
The Gallery features an array of different types of art, from painting and ceramics to textiles and mixed media, it is a great way to pass time between classes and get a little culture along the way. You might even find yourself meeting a featured artist, being drawn to take an art class yourself or discovering a new passion.
Permanent Art Collection
Delta's permanent art collection holds more than 150 works. It is a community resource for teaching and raising aesthetic awareness. The collection embodies artwork that shares perspectives and reflects the lived experiences of the residents living, working and attending school in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Students, staff, faculty and visitors can view this collection throughout Delta College’s main campus, as well as its downtown centers in Saginaw, Bay City and Midland.
Sculpture Walk
The Delta College Sculpture Walk is a free, outdoor collection of works showcasing multiple styles and media by various artists. All works may be experienced 365 days a year—without the need for an appointment. It encourages intellectual conversation, illuminates the creative process and provides an aesthetic environment for everyone to enjoy.
Visiting artist grant
The Delta College Art + Design Program invites professional artists based in Michigan to showcase and present their work through the Visiting Artist Grant. Each semester, selected artists exhibit work in Delta’s Gallery and lead a workshop for Art + Design students.
