This Firearm Instructor Course will impart upon the participants sufficient knowledge and background in the proper techniques of handling and utilizing the semi-automatic pistol to be able to perform as a range instructor to provide competent training to other officers. Prerequisite: Attendees will be required to satisfactorily perform the MCOLES basic course of fire on the first day.

This 50-hour course is meant to train and certify law enforcement officers to instruct defensive driving, emergency response driving and pursuit driving while addressing the legal issues related to emergency vehicle operation. Students will participate in a variety of driving skills courses, simulated pursuit scenarios and classroom lecture. The course will be taught with a combination of classroom lecture and hands-on driving at a closed driving range. NOTE: To attend this course, please see the Instructor Candidate minimum standards.

This is an eight-hour course that starts with a short classroom update session followed by the remainder of the time spent on the driving range performing "behind the wheel" exercises. This course will cover pursuit rated models of patrol vehicles, exploring the differences between front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and SUV models.

This full week, hands-on course is designed for police officers wanting to improve their knowledge regarding their ability to recognize and collect physical evidence from a crime scene. Training will consist of classroom lecture and hands-on training in the core physical evidence categories: latent prints, biology, footwear/tire tracks, firearms and tool marks and trace evidence. Hands-on and lecture training will also be provided in the documentation of crime scenes with photography, notes and sketches.

This course is for already certified firearms (pistol) instructors. The student of this training will gain the knowledge of how to articulate and instruct the safe carry and storage; care and maintenance; sighting; setting up and engaging in live-fire drills; functions of the rifle and more to future operators of the semi-auto patrol rifles.

The PPCT DT Instructor re-certification course is designed to update current instructors
in the changes to the PPCT program. During this re-certification process, students
will fine tune their existing practical skills to meet the high standards of the PPCT
Program. Upon completion of this course, the instructor's certification will be extended

This training program deals with a practical and simple way for the officer to defend against a subject with the edged weapon. The need for this training became especially clear after the events of September 11, when terrorists took over planes using box cutters, which is basically a small knife. Also, the training shows the officer how the edged weapon can be used in a self-defense situation as an emergency backup weapon when the primary weapon system is not available.
