Delta offers a wide variety of skilled trades programs, providing practical training and education for rewarding regional careers.

At Delta, you'll learn the latest skills and practical knowledge to prepare for a good-paying skilled trades job. You'll also learn from industry experts in hands-on labs using the latest equipment and technology. Our programs are designed to get you up to speed quickly yet arm you with a depth of experience for on-the-job problem solving.

Skilled Trades in Machine Repair and Mechanics

• Millwright

Skilled Trades in Industrial Maintenance

• Instrumentation electrician
• Plumber-pipefitter
• Stationary boiler operator

Skilled Trades in Precision Manufacturing

• Pattern maker
• Tinsmith
• Tool-die maker
• Tool hardener

Program details

Any interested student can enroll in these certificate and associate's degree programs. If you're a sponsored student through a company apprenticeship program, most of these courses are recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship, as part of your Related Technical Instruction (RTI). Professional licensure

Program completers must have a certain amount of formal education and work experience to be eligible for the Department of Labor Certification. This certificate is recognized in all states, please contact the program coordinator for further information. Keep in mind, Delta College does not issue journeyman's cards.
