With an associate's degree in architectural technology, you may assist licensed architects, construction engineers and urban planners. Or, you could become a draftsperson, building appraiser or inspector. 

This program prepares you for a technical-level career, but some courses are transferable to bachelor degree programs in architecture. 

You gain skills and knowledge in the areas of:

  • Architectural drafting
  • Computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and design
  • Construction methods and materials
  • Building codes and standards
  • Structural principles
  • Cost estimation and planning documentation
  • 3D modeling

In this program you'll learn to use a combination of technical and soft skills, including proficiency in CAD software, technical drawing, problem-solving, attention to detail and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
