For the first time since 2018, the PBS hit, Antiques Roadshow brought its five-city production tour to Michigan. While free to attend, tickets were required, and each guest needed to bring at least one item for appraisal and no more than two items.

Around 15,000 people applied for tickets to the event held on July 1 at the historic Castle Farms in Charlevoix, but only 2,000 pairs of tickets were awarded through the Antiques Roadshow sweepstakes. Luckily, Delta College Public Media was granted 20 prized tickets to distribute. They were given to several lucky donors and Foundation directors.

Of the thousands of items appraised, only about 90 were selected to appear in one of the three one-hour segments of the show’s 30th season. Among them was one of our guests, Kathi Spence, whose grandmother’s necklace was chosen to be recorded to air in an episode.

Antiques Roadshow airs Mondays at 8pm on PBS. Be sure to tune into the 30th season when it premieres in January 2026.
