Law enforcement & corrections training

Delta College has been providing quality law enforcement training for Northeastern Michigan since 1967.

One of the unique features of our police academy program is that as a result of where we're located, we're able to successfully train individuals for the needs of larger urban communities and smaller rural communities.

We also offer a corrections officer academy, in-service courses for area professionals and testing services.

• Police academy graduates obtain training beyond MCOLES requirements, including TASER, PBT and Radar, making them more competitive candidates to area employers.
• Successful completion of the 160-hour corrections officer academy affords students to receive six college credits, a State of Michigan certification that’s required to work within a local correctional facility and marketability for state wide employment.

• Delta is dedicated to the continuing education our first responders (law enforcement, fire fighters and EMTs), corrections officers and security personnel by offering a wide variety of quality, advanced in-service training utilizing the skills and talents of local, state and nationally renowned professional trainers and speakers.
