Delta College began its search process for a new president, following the announced resignation of Dr. Michael Gavin on September 25, 2025. The Board of Trustees immediately began developing the process needed to search for the best possible candidate for selection.

Presidential search advisory committee orientation and training; review of confidentiality,
timeline, and application review process; review and suggest edits to the draft presidential
profile.
December 2025
Board of Trustees formally reviews and approves the Presidential Profile.
Position is open. Presidential Profile posted on delta.edu website and acctsearches.org. Targeted local, state-wide, and national one-to-one recruitment commences.
February 9, 2026
Target date for receipt of applications. Position open until filled.
July 1, 2026
Tentative start date for next president of Delta College.
