Delta College began its search process for a new president, following the resignation of Dr. Michael Gavin. The Board of Trustees immediately began developing the process needed to search for the best possible candidate for selection.
This page contains an anticipated timeline of the efforts ahead, along with dates of confirmed activities.
November 2025
Presidential search advisory committee orientation and training; review of confidentiality,
timeline, and application review process; review and suggest edits to the draft presidential
profile.
December 2025
Board of Trustees formally reviews and approves the Presidential Profile.
Position is open. Presidential Profile posted on delta.edu website and acctsearches.org. Targeted local, state-wide, and national one-to-one recruitment commences.
February 9, 2026
Target date for receipt of applications. Position open until filled.
Late March, 2026
Trustees will review additional material provided by 10 selected candidates.
April 2026
Interviews of the three finalists will take place the week of April 6-10.
Interview dates

- Dr. Reva Curry – Tuesday, April 7
- Dr. Adam Cloutier – Friday, April 10
Each finalist's visit will include a forum presentation open to the entire college community, as well as sessions with employee groups. All sessions listed below will be held in the Lecture Theater (G160), and the same schedule will be followed on each visit day.
Open Forum
10:45am – 12pm
This open forum will include a brief introduction, a formal presentation and a question-and-answer
period. The forum will provide an opportunity to hear directly from the candidate
on the topic:
“What are the unique challenges and opportunities facing community colleges in the
next 10 years? As our leader, how will you address them?”
In addition to the open forum, the candidate will participate in separate meetings with:
- Full- and part-time faculty from 2:05pm – 2:50pm
- Administrative Professional Staff, Support Staff, Workforce Strategies and Facilities Staff from 3pm – 3:45pm
