Dr. Reva Curry

Dr. Reva Curry has been Vice President of Instruction and Learning Services at Delta College for the past 12 years. She oversees five academic divisions, including workforce strategies, and academic support services to help create a student-centered learning environment to meet students’ needs as they pursue their occupation or transfer goals. Over the past three years, student enrollment has exceeded projections by 6-11% in fall and winter semesters. For the upcoming spring 2026 semester, enrollment is currently at 33% above projections.

Dr. Curry’s academic discipline is health sciences. She is a credentialed radiographer and diagnostic medical sonographer and was a full-time faculty member for over 15 years before moving into administration.

She is enthusiastic about students’ access, retention and completion. One example of her work at Delta includes creating and supporting the Open Educational Resources Committee, which over the past 10 years has saved students over $3.5 million in textbook costs, a successful retention strategy.

Dr. Curry is the current State Chair for the Michigan American Council in Education Women’s Network, whose mission is to improve the professional environment of women in higher education. The Network has over 35 institutional members in Michigan representing four-year colleges and universities as well as community colleges and provides year-round professional development opportunities open to all.

Faith and family are important to Dr. Curry. She lives in Midland, MI, close to Flint where her mother still resides in her childhood home. Her nephews’ families reside in Grand Blanc and Canton, MI. Dr. Curry’s youngest daughter Serena, is Deputy Chief of Staff for NCIS in Washington, DC. Her oldest daughter, Dr. Tiana Curry-McCoy is a full professor in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and program director of graduate CLS research at Augusta University. She resides in Augusta, GA with her husband Jeremy and children Lena and Princeton.

Dr. Curry remains committed to empowering students to achieve their goals and dreams and helping the next generation of leaders in higher education.
