Associate in Arts

The Associate in Arts degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor's degree, or higher.

In general, the components of the degree meet requirements for majors in the liberal arts.

Examples of liberal arts subjects:

• Humanities (like history, literature, philosophy, languages)
• Social sciences (like psychology, sociology, economics)
• Natural sciences (like biology, chemistry, physics)
• Mathematics
• Creative arts (like music, theater, visual arts) 

One of the great features of the program is that it offers flexibility and customization in course selection.

Our degree prepares you to transfer. The history and psychology pathways were created as examples to show students how they could customize the associate of arts to transfer into a wide range of fields, including history and psychology.
