Leading the way: Delta College management programs

Student in management class

From the very beginning, it’s clear the focus is on real-world readiness.

“At Delta, we go beyond the textbook and really help students understand how these concepts apply to everyday work,” said Jason Lijewski, management professor.

“The range of things students learn are those core principles—accounting, marketing, management, finance and entrepreneurship,” he added. “Just as important, students develop the ability to communicate effectively and adapt to change.”

To see that in action, watch Delta’s Management spotlight video featuring students and faculty.

Skills for the next level

With experienced faculty and hands-on projects, students gain practical knowledge that can be applied directly to the workplace or to transfer programs like the Northwood 3+1 pathway.

“It’s been one of the best experiences of my life,” said Jaylynn Phelps, who credits Delta with helping her better understand her goals.

“You’re doing in-depth, real-world projects,” she said. “Budgeting, branding strategy, visuals, advertising plans—you’re creating the whole campaign.”

That sense of opportunity stands out across the program. Whether pursuing General Management, Cosmetology Management, Marketing Management, or another pathway, students build skills that apply across industries.

“There are just endless opportunities to be whoever you want to be,” said entrepreneurship student Lola Schloff.

With flexible online options and strong career prospects throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region, Delta’s management programs are designed to fit the busy lives of students and launch their careers.
