Program Overview

As a network administrator, you will manage communication systems to ensure information is flowing properly within an organization. Job responsibilities include installing & supporting an organization’s network system, monitoring the network to ensure availability to all system users, network security, installing applications, testing and distributing software upgrades, monitoring daily activity, enforcing licensing agreements, developing a storage management program and providing backups and disaster recovery.

About Delta's Program

The Network Administration Advanced Certificate is an Academic Certificate that is all killer, no filler. That means, it’s all critical network classes with none of those annoying General Education classes.You’ll learn network administration, troubleshooting, UNIX and Linux, communication skills, system & network configuration, organizational skills, technical support, problem solving, software installation, planning, Windows Server, research skills, Cisco, customer service, firewalls and other aspects of network security and project management.

An Advanced Certificate in Network administration can also prepare you for a career in cybersecurity, IT support, network architecture, database administration and web development, among others.

At the Teaching Learning Center, located in the Library, we offer tutoring on a wide variety of subjects, and help with developing study and learning skills. Most tutoring is on a walk-in basis but we do have some online tutoring options.
