About Delta's Program
Data science, related to data mining, machine learning and data analysis, is emerging as a field that is revolutionizing science and industries alike. Work across nearly all domains is becoming more data-driven, affecting both the jobs that are available and the skills that are required. A data science degree is an interdisciplinary degree that prepares students for a career that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insight from data. This program draws upon computer science, mathematics and statistics. You will use a variety of tools and analytical methods to work with at scale, derive insights from complex and unstructured data, and solve real-world problems.
The data science advanced certificate is an excellent choice for those who wish to advance their professional careers by supplementing their work experience or by supplementing an existing college degree with data science knowledge.

At the Teaching Learning Center, located in the Library, we offer tutoring on a wide variety of subjects, and help with developing study and learning skills. Most tutoring is on a walk-in basis but we do have some online tutoring options.
