SPECIALIzED TESTING
ASE is an independent, non-profit organization. Since 1972 they have worked to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying repair and service professionals.
How to register
- Register with ASE.
- Contact us at 989-686-9182 to schedule your testing appointment. Make sure to have your name, home address, email phone number, ASE number and test codes of the certification exams you are registered to take.
- Arrive on time for your appointment. Please bring confirmation of your ASE number with you.
How would you like to get college credit for what you already know? The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) offers you the opportunity to earn credit for 33 college subject examinations and speed up your education. You don't need to be a Delta student to take a CLEP exam with us.
How to register
- Create an account with College Board.
- Select the exam and pay $89 examination fee directly to College Board. Make sure to select your school when registering.
- Complete the request form (PDF), including a $35 administration fee payable directly to Delta College; nonrefundable and non-transferable.
- Return the form to testingcenter@delta.edu.
- Upon receipt of above, you will be contacted to schedule your appointment and to receive last minute instructions.
- Arrive on time for your appointment, and bring your CLEP ticket with you.
Please note that we do not offer the optional essays at this time.
Certain members of the U.S. Armed Services, veterans, their spouses, and civilian employees may be eligible for DANTES funding to take a CLEP exam. Proper Military ID is required on the day of testing. All DANTES eligible service members will be required to pay Delta College's administrative fee of $35 or $25 for active military.
DANTES/DSST exams are designed to help active military members and veterans pursue their educational goals and earn degrees during and after their service. You don't have to be a Delta student to take a DSST exam with us.

- Upon receipt of payment, you will be contacted to schedule your appointment and to receive further instructions.
Test day
- Please arrive on time for your scheduled exam.
- Please be sure to bring a credit card with you. You will pay the vendor at the time of testing.

ParaPro Assessment through the ETS Praxis Series® is the new certification test for Paraprofessionals.
How to Register
- Call us at 989-686-9182 to schedule an appointment.
- A non-transferable, non-refundable payment of $35 is due at the time of scheduling. Seating is limited; no walk-ins allowed.
- Bring a credit card with you to your appointment. You will pay the vendor $55 per assessment
at the time of testing.
Delta College Students Testing Remotely
Example: A student is called away on an emergency and needs to take a make-up test away from Delta College or an on-line student needs to take a face-to-face test who lives in another state.
How to Register
- Check with your instructor first to make sure that you can take your exam remotely.
- Locate a testing center proctor at another college or university in your area that would be willing to provide you this service. Forward the contact information of this individual and facility to your instructor so that it can be verified.
- Your instructor will share this information with the Delta College Testing Center staff who will confirm that the requested location meets all testing standards and best practices required for serving as a proctor site. Once the location has been approved your instructor will be informed.
- Your instructor will be in contact through email with the approved location as to details/instructions for your exam.
- All testing fees charged by the remote site for serving as a proctor and administering the remote exam will be paid for by the student not Delta College.
Non-Delta Students Needing a Proctor
Example: A non-Delta College student needs someone to proctor his/her computerized or paper/pencil exam.
How to Register
- The non-Delta student must first complete and submit the online request form. The form can be submitted to the Testing Center via email or fax.
- The Delta College Testing Center staff will contact the student to confirm a date and time the service will be provided. Payment for services are required when the appointment is confirmed ($35/test payable to Delta College Testing Center)
- The institution that will be providing the exam must send the exam via Email directly to the Delta College Testing Center (testingcenter@delta.edu)
- The non-Delta student arrives at the scheduled appointment time. Current photo ID is required of all individuals taking tests in the Testing Center.
- The test is administered to the non-Delta student following the instructions provided by the institution requesting the exam.
- All exams are returned per instructions of institution requesting the exam.

Test day
Valid driver's license or State ID is required for check-in on test day. Do not bring food, drink, cell phones or other electronic devices. Hats may not be worn during testing.
