SPECIALIzED TESTING 

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)

ASE is an independent, non-profit organization. Since 1972, they have worked to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying repair and service professionals. 

How to register

  1. Register with ASE. All costs associated with ASE tested will be handled directly with ASE. 
  2. Contact us at 989-686-9182 or testingcenter@delta.edu to schedule your testing appointment. Make sure to have your name, email, phone number, ASE number and test codes of the certification exams you are registered to take.
  3. Arrive on time for your appointment. Please bring confirmation of your ASE number and government-issued ID with you.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

How would you like to get college credit for what you already know? The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) offers you the opportunity to earn credit for 33 college subject examinations and speed up your education. You don't need to be a Delta student to take a CLEP exam with us.

How to register

  1. Create an account with College Board.
  2. Select the exam and pay $89 examination fee directly to College Board. Make sure to select your school when registering.
  3. Complete the request form (PDF), including a $35 administration fee payable directly to Delta College; nonrefundable and non-transferable.
  4. Return the form to testingcenter@delta.edu.
  5. Upon receipt of above, you will be contacted to schedule your appointment and to receive final instructions.  
  6. Arrive on time for your appointment, and bring your CLEP ticket and government-issued ID with you.

Please note that optional essays have been discontinued by CLEP and are no longer offered. 

Certain members of the U.S. Armed Services, veterans, their spouses, and civilian employees may be eligible for DANTES funding to take a CLEP exam. Proper Military ID is required on the day of testing. All DANTES eligible service members will be required to pay Delta College's administrative fee of $35 or $25 for active military.

Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES/DSST)

DANTES/DSST exams are designed to help active military members and veterans pursue their educational goals and earn degrees during and after their service. You don't have to be a Delta student to take a DSST exam with us.

How to register

  1. Complete the request form (PDF), including a $35 administration fee payable directly to Delta College; nonrefundable and non-transferable.
  2. Return the form to testingcenter@delta.edu. 
  3. Upon receipt of payment, you will be contacted to schedule your appointment and to receive further instructions. 
  4. Please arrive on time for your scheduled exam, and bring your government-issued ID with you to your appointment.
  5. Please be sure to bring a credit card with you. You will pay the vendor at the time of testing.

Certiport is our testing partner for Microsoft Office® programs, Quickbooks®, and many more!

How to register

  1. Purchase an exam voucher directly from Certiport
  2. Contact us to schedule exam at 989-686-9182 or testingcenter@delta.edu. A $35 administration fee payable to Delta College will be required at this time.
  3. Arrive on time for your exam and bring your test voucher and government-issued ID with you. 
ParaProfessional Certification

The ETS® ParaPro Assessment is now available for at-home testing. 
 
The ParaPro test-at-home is administered and monitored using the ProProctor® software from Prometric®. As with other remotely proctored assessments, you must meet equipment and environment requirements prior to testing. View a complete list of requirements, which includes software needs to test on a Mac® and PC.
 
Once you have confirmed that your computer and testing room meet the requirements, you can register and schedule your appointment directly with ProProctor. Appointments are available 8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.  Additional information on the ParaPro Assessment and at-home testing can be found here

Are you taking classes at another college or university and need proctoring services? If so, we can help! 

How to Register

  1. Complete the request form (PDF), including a $35 administration fee payable directly to Delta College; nonrefundable and non-transferable.
  2. Return the form to testingcenter@delta.edu
  3. Upon receipt of above, you will be contacted to schedule your appointment and to receive final instructions.  
  4. Your home institution (that will be providing the exam) must send the exam via e-mail directly to us at testingcenter@delta.edu.
  5. Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time, and bring your government-issued ID with you.
