Alternative Breaks

Delta College's Alternative Breaks program provides numerous opportunities for students to learn more about themselves, others and the world around them. This program is designed to encourage personal growth, create leadership opportunities, promote civic engagement and create opportunities for you to think outside of the box. You will come home every year with new friends and a new community of people that share a common life changing experience!

Upcoming trips

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alternative Breaks program is currently on hold.

Cost to participate

The Alternative Breaks Group fundraise during the fall semester and the winter semester to pay for each team member to go on the trip. Each trip costs between $250 and $350 per student. The group has not had any members that have had to pay out of pocket to go on the trip since 2017. These funds go to pay for transportation, food and lodging. The students will need to bring money for any souvenirs that they will want.
