Delta College is celebrating the invaluable work of its faculty and staff for the 59^th Annual Employee Awards held Wednesday, April 17 at 1pm in Pioneer Gym on the main campus.

This year’s honorees include two faculty members who will receive the prestigious Bergstein Award for Teaching Excellence. This award the highest honor a faculty can receive and recognizes their commitment to teaching excellence. Denise Hill, professor of English and Lisa Wall, associate professor of radiology, were chosen for the award by a vote from students and faculty.

Hill earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and her master’s degree from Michigan State University. She has been with Delta for 19 years.

Wall earned her associate’s degree from Washtenaw Community College, her bachelor’s degree from Cleary University and her master’s from Ferris State University. She has been with Delta for eight years and has gotten her entire family involved. Each of her three children have earned or are currently working toward associate’s degrees from Delta in various disciplines and her husband, a welding instructor for Midland Public Schools, encourages students to consider Delta College.
