As businesses adjust to a new normal and employees return to work, there is much change to navigate and new protocols to follow.
Delta College is helping by offering several interactive workshops for local businesses that will provide training, support and resources.
The webinars, hosted by Delta’s Corporate Services, will focus on topics such as change in the workplace, developing a COVID-19 communications plan, the importance of leadership and effective decision making, among others.
Jennifer Carroll, director of Corporate Services, said employee engagement plays a key role in economic recovery.
“As people return to the workplace, they will be adjusting to what is now the new normal in a COVID-19 world,” said Carroll. “Through our years of training experience, we know employees can tolerate a crisis when their leader is calm and capable. Training supports good leadership, which in turn stabilizes the team. Businesses are seeking local, affordable help and Delta can help.”
The series will kick off with a free webinar, “Learn from Experience,” on June 23 at 3:30pm that will feature local business leaders and what they have learned in the process of opening back up. Register by emailing training@delta.edu.
The fee-based workshops will take place in July and August. For more information and
