Black Faculty & Staff Association

Delta College's Black Faculty & Staff Association is here to support the retention, recruitment and development of the College’s faculty, staff and students of color.  The association strives to foster a greater sense of community within Delta and the Great Lakes Bay Region, and to provide opportunities for networking and mentorship among the black faculty and staff in an effort to provide an organized support system that will enhance the cultural diversity within the college.

How to join

Membership

Membership shall be comprised of Delta College faculty, staff and administrators including full-time, part-time and adjunct.  Membership is extended to those who choose to continue after retirement.

Eligibility

Any person is eligible to become a member.  A voting member is defined as one who has paid annual dues. Currently, dues are $30 annually.

 

Spirit of MLK Award

The Spirit of MLK Award is presented by the Delta College Black Faculty and Staff Association and the Saginaw chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, of which MLK was a member. Each year, BFSA members select an employee whose service to the college and community exemplifies the spirit of MLK’s work and values.
