With Credit-By-Portfolio, you get college credit for related work experience equivalent to that taught in the classroom. There is a submission process (along with a $60.00 per credit hour fee). Not every subject can be taken by Credit-By-Portfolio, but if successful, the earned credits are recorded on your transcript and are applied to your Delta degree.
You only get one shot, but if you can show you know what’s taught in the class, it’s a good way to gain credit and save quite a bit of cash.
Also, you can only earn 38 total credits from Credit-By-Portfolio. The rest? You need to get those in the classroom.
Please contact your program of study for Credit-by-Portfolio options and information on how to register.
DANTES exams are designed to help active military members and veterans pursue their educational goals and earn degrees during and after their service. DSST Exams are now available to all students, not just active military. For more information, please visit https://getcollegecredit.com/about-dsst/.
