Delta College has partnered with GST Michigan Works! to offer a short term job training program in CNC, Computer Numeric Control. This three and a half week program provides a concentrated skill set for CNC operators with training held April 24 through May 17.

The 144 hour accelerated training program is designed with 50% of the training being delivered in the classroom at the GST Michigan Works! office in Marlette and 50% of the training being delivered at Delta’s College state-of-the-art CNC lab at the main campus. Training runs M-F from 8a-4:30pm.

“Employers have open positions to fill immediately and Delta’s Fast Start™ job training program is a solution to meet regional employers’ needs with skilled workers,” stated Jennifer Carroll, Director, Delta College Corporate Services. This is the second time CNC training has been offered in the Thumb area and it has positive results with an average of 90% of participants receiving full-time employment once they successfully complete.

CNC Fast Start™ training session is limited to 12 students. Applications are due April 14, 2017, or until the class is full.
