September 23, 2022

Chad InabinetChad Inabinet joined Delta College, as the new vice president of student empowerment and success, on August 29.

Inabinet brings 20 years of experience in higher education, including serving as dean of student services for 13 years at West Shore Community College in Ludington, MI. There, he worked across departments to build an effective and widely-used early alert system, developed support services for students organized around academic pathways and worked on a variety of projects with external partners to provide students with resources for their everyday lives.

“I am excited Chad has joined our Delta team,” said President Dr. Michael Gavin. “He exhibits a deep understanding of the challenges our students face, the importance of relevant data and is a leader who exhibits the compassion and team-building skills needed to reach our goals.”

“From the first moment I engaged with Delta College through the application and interview process, I was impressed with the integrity and collaboration of the leadership team and staff; and that continues today as I work with so many talented educators and leaders throughout the work week,” Inabinet said.  “With a campus culture, such as Delta’s, I am confident we will improve upon and increase services for our students to new levels; greatly increasing the likelihood of success for all students through effective wrap-around services.”

Inabinet is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Higher Education Leadership at Western Michigan University, and also holds a master’s in counseling from Spring Arbor University and bachelor’s in biology from Lake Superior State University.
