Google Career Certificates & CompTIA Certifications

September 14, 2022

Google and Delta College logosRecognizing a need to provide flexible access to high-demand computer training, Delta College in collaboration with Google is offering Career Certificates in Data Analytics, IT Support and Project Management this fall.

Delta will offer these non-credit certificates free to students in an effort to provide much needed access for adult and working students who are interested in upskilling their computer science knowledge and gaining credentials that are desired in the industry. These programs are 100% online, self-paced with guided instruction.

These Google Career Certificates are designed to ladder into existing academic degree and certificate programs offered at Delta College. After successfully taking these certificates, individuals can earn academic credit.

“This training increases access and options for students while making the pathway toward degree completion at Delta College faster,” said Kevin Wyzkiewicz, Associate Professor in Computer Science and Information Technology.

Students can earn from 3-14 academic credits depending on the certificate they complete.

In addition to Google Career Certificates, Delta College offers career credentials for CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security +. These offerings are done in partnership with Ed2Go and are also offered 100% online. Costs of CompTIA programs may be covered for eligible students through state and federal funds. Please contact a local Michigan Works! agency to determine eligibility. After successfully taking these courses, the student is able to take a CompTIA certification exam and earn Delta College academic credit.
