March 25, 2021

Shelly Raube

Delta College’s leadership team has announced the appointment of Shelly Raube as dean of Student Success. She will begin her role March 29.

Raube has worked for Delta in multiple roles since 2008, beginning as an athletic trainer. She served as director of Athletics from 2011-2018 and most recently, she was associate dean of retention.

“Shelly is a passionate professional that can problem solve complex systems to help students reach their full potential,” said Karl Rishe, vice president of Student and Educational Services. “Her knowledge of athletics, advising and engagement makes her a tremendous asset, and I can’t wait to see how she will make our team better and our students more successful.”

Raube received a bachelor’s degree from Carthage College and a master’s degree in health, physical education and recreation from Illinois State University.

“Students have always been at the center of what I do, and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to continue advocating for them,” Raube said. “I look forward to the ongoing work of listening to our students to make sure they feel heard, which is critical as we develop initiatives to support the challenges they face.”

As dean of Student Success, Raube will oversee the areas of student and civic engagement, student conduct and Ombuds, athletics, career development, counseling, advising, and disability resources.
