The search to identify the next president of Delta College is underway, with the launch of a new website that outlines the search process and position qualifications.

Applications and nominations for the presidential position are currently being accepted; the target due date for applications is April 9.

The Board of Trustees is leading the national search with assistance from the Association of Community College Trustees. ACCT is helping to recruit competitive candidates, working with the search advisory committee and assisting the Board.

Board Chair Michael Nash said the college is committed to conducting a thorough, transparent and inclusive search process, with input from faculty, staff, students and community members. A special committee was formed to assist with the search.

In January, Dr. Jean Goodnow announced her retirement as president of Delta. She became the fourth, and first woman, president of Delta in 2005. When she retires in August 2021, she will have served as president for 16 years.
