After thousands of votes by community residents, Delta College has been named a Midland Daily News’ Readers’ Choice winner.

On September 25, Delta was named winner of the college/university category of the contest. This year’s contest, which took place in August and September, included a record number of votes and participation from the local community. The runner ups in the college/university category are Central Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University.

The contest comes on the heels of the opening of Delta’s new Downtown Midland Center, located at 419 East Ellsworth St. The new facility offers business, health, science and transfer courses in a variety of formats for students from Midland and the surrounding areas.
