Ben Nemtin, a New York Times best-selling author and star of MTV’s The Buried Life, will give a virtual presentation on February 17 as part of the Delta College President’s Speaker Series.
Nemtin’s presentation, “Rethinking Mental Health,” will take place at 7pm on Zoom, a video-conferencing platform. Register at go.delta.edu/Nemtin; a link to the online event will be sent via email.
Nemtin, who has struggled with depression, was inspired to start The Buried Life in 2006 with his three friends. They made a list of ‘100 things to do before you die’ and for every list item they accomplished, they helped a stranger cross something off their bucket list. Since then, they have published a New York Times best-selling book, "What Do You Want To Do Before You Die?" They also made an MTV show based on their project and crossed off 91 of 100 dreams from their bucket list. Ben and his friends are currently filming “The Buried Life” documentary film.
Having presented to more than 250,000 people worldwide, Nemtin is recognized as a best motivational speaker and a top organizational culture thought leader by Global Gurus.
The presentation is free and open to the community. For more information or for disability-related accommodations, contact Kim Klein at 989-686-9192 or David Baskind at 989-686-9374.
