Delta College is hosting a drive-in event November 4 to help students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The Drive-In FAFSA Workshop will take place from 2-6pm in the east parking lot on Delta’s campus. Financial aid staff will be on hand to answer questions and help individuals complete or renew the 2021-2022 FAFSA. The free event is open to the community.
Lisa Davis, director of Financial Aid for Delta, said the FAFSA opens the door to many financial resources and it’s important for all students to complete the application.
“With all that is going on in the world, we don’t want the FAFSA to cause families more concern. We are so pleased that we can offer our community support through this event,” she said.
Participants should bring:
- Laptop or smartphone
- Photo ID
- Social Security number
- Federal Student Aid ID (help will be provided if you do not have one)
- 2019 federal tax information and all W-2s (for student and spouse, if applicable)
- If under 24, unmarried, and without dependents, bring a parent
- Parents’ 2019 federal tax information and all W-2s
Delta is also hosting virtual FAFSA information sessions in October and November. The sessions will provide an overview of the FAFSA process. Visit Delta’s events calendar to see dates.
