Delta College is committed to promoting learning, actions, and practices that incorporate social, environmental, and economic sustainability in our communities.  We are proud of our heritage and progress towards developing and maintaining a campus that integrates sustainability in all of its educational, administrative, and operational activities.  With our educational resources and power of influence over future generations, Delta College is an ideal environment from which to live and promote sustainability.  

Meeting the Triple Bottom Line

At Delta College, we’ve adopted the Triple Bottom Line model to lead us in making sound sustainable decisions.  For many people, sustainability translates into being "environmentally friendly", but it is broader than that. It represents much more than reducing waste, protecting wildlife and recycling. The Triple Bottom Line reminds us that finance intersects with the environment and with the best interest of society.  In other words, it reminds us of the connection between people, planet, and profit.

Power of a Single Action

Sustainability is open territory--there is so much to accomplish and plenty of room for innovation.  We encourage you to expand your awareness of sustainability on campus and throughout the communities in which you live, work, and play.   We invite you to become an active participant.  It’s the power of a single action that brings about change.
