Photography I & Photography II

Photography I

Taught by a professional and free-lance photographer, this four session, basic class will cover: rules of composition, proper use of natural light as well as flash, ISO, exposure compensation, basics of the camera meter, and correct ways to use your auto focus. You will participate in weekly “fun” photo assignments, class critiques and discussions. All assignments will be shot in the program mode.

You must provide your own digital camera and manual.

Photography II

This four session, advanced class will take you off of program mode and into the manual modes to expand your creativity. In this class you will learn: metering; aperture priority; shutter priority; night photography; black and white photography and many composition techniques. You will have fun, weekly assignments and group critiques. Our Photography I class is a prerequisite prior to enrolling in this class series.

Class Requirements

You must provide your own digital camera and manual. Your digital camera must be capable of shooting in manual operation modes, if your camera only operates in automatic mode – this course is not for you.
