Healthy eating and healthy cooking will be our focus today but we will not just talk about it, we will have the chance to see it demonstrated by Delta College Food Services staff and their new chef. Eating healthy is the preparation as well as the choices of food you eat and it doesn’t mean that you have to become a gourmet chef or invest in expensive cookware. Come to learn about alternative cooking techniques, herbs and spices and basic rules for selecting nutritional, healthy foods.

Dr. Richard Strain, Optometrist will be our guest speaker today and will focus on eye care, how the aging processes affect our eyes and vision, common eye diseases and medical conditions that affect our eye health and how to choose the right glasses or contacts. Cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma and dry eyes are conditions you or your friends may experience. Come and learn what these are, possible treatments, preventive measures and consequences. Questions will be welcome.
