Joseph Lewis is a native of Saginaw, Michigan. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Arts and Leadership Studies from Hampton University and a Master’s Degree in Africana Studies and Literary Theory from New York University. His research and teaching interests include Reader Response Theory, African American Literature, American Literature, The Fantastic, Existentialism, Narrative Theory and Pop Culture.
