Birthday Party Guidelines

  • Birthday parties must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
  • Reservations are made on a "first-requested with deposit received, first-confirmed" basis. We accept Discover, MasterCard, VISA charge cards, personal checks, money orders or cash.
  • Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable.
  • Final payment is due prior to the beginning of the birthday party.
  • You may not bring in your own food or beverages. All food and beverages served in our facility must be provided by us. In addition, no food or beverages may be removed from the facility without prior approval.
  • A final guarantee of the number of children and adults you expect to attend is due by noon three weekdays prior to the date of the birthday party. However, Delta College reserves the right to require one full week prior to the date for large parties.
  • One parent or guardian of the birthday party child is required to stay the entire time. In total there should be: one adult for every 5 children ages 4 to 7; one adult for every 10 children ages 8-11. You are responsible for supervision of all children at all times.
  • Late arrivals will not be admitted to the Planetarium show.
  • You may bring in your own decorations. However, use of confetti, glitter, bubbles and fireworks is prohibited. The Planetarium will not permit affixing anything to the walls, windows, railings, floors, ceilings, etc. by any method (i.e. nails, tacks, tape, glue, Velcro, etc.). Users will be charged for any damage. For safety reasons, piñatas are not allowed. Balloons are allowed in the rental room but are never allowed in the Planetarium Theater.
  • No additional entertainers may be invited to the party (clowns, jugglers, etc.) without prior permission of appropriate Planetarium staff.
  • Delta College reserves the right to change prices.
