Now’s the Time to Register

August 2, 2018

Classes start August 25, for the 2018 fall semester at Delta and right now is the perfect time to register for classes and begin pursuing an associate’s degree. A person who earns an associate’s in the Great Lakes Bay Region makes an average 35 percent than someone with only a high school diploma.

Nestled in the Saginaw Bay region, Delta College has been recognized as one of the top community colleges in the nation and is ready to help you further your education and give you a one-of-a-kind experience.  Going to Delta will cost you less than half the cost of attending a public university, and has the convenience of smaller class sizes allowing you to connect more with your professors and fellow classmates.

"It feels more like part of your family and more comfortable. Delta is like my second home," Robert Logan, a graduate of the Chemical Process Technology program at Delta, says of the smaller class sizes.

Delta works as a great stepping stone from a high school to a university and with great faculty and a plethora of resources to help you succeed, Delta is ready to help you pursue your dreams and learn more about the world around you.

"Hopefully I’m going to be able to give back to Delta, for allowing me to get a degree and become employed right away," says Delta Water Environmental Technology graduate Kimberly Wahl.

“Delta helped me by surrounding me with people who really believed in me and believed in my potential when I often couldn’t see it myself,” says Delta Journalism & Emerging Media graduate Josie Norris.

Life can get busy and this can make going to college intimidating, but Delta has your back with online, night, and weekend classes to better fit your busy schedule. Delta also has off campus centers in Saginaw, Bay City and Midland with so you can stay closer to home while taking classes.

“If you are having any apprehension about attending Delta, just call and make an appointment to see an advisor,” says Connie French, a graduate of the Youth Services program at Delta.  “They will help you get over that hurdle of being nervous or scared.”
