Accelerated CNC Program

The Great Lakes Bay Area Manufacturers Association estimates that in the next few years more than 500 Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Tool positions will be available in the Great Lakes Bay Region with few qualified candidates.

"Delta College has worked closely with local employers to build a program that serves their needs," said Terry Morse, Assistant Professor and CNC Program Coordinator. "Students in this program will get specific training in both manual and CNC machining, and also have an opportunity to participate in a job shadow experience with local manufacturers."

To fit your schedule, Delta is offering day and evening sessions. Don’t wait to register, the capacity for this training program is limited to 24 students -- 12 for each day and evening session. Classes are held Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, students have the opportunity to participate in non-paid work experience.

You’ll earn a Certificate of Achievement when you successfully complete the program requirements. Completed courses count toward the advanced CNC certificate or skilled trades associate’s degree.

Program Benefits:

  • You'll be ready for entry-level employment in 11 weeks.
  • Compressed training schedule is May 5 through July 17, 2014.
  • Explore the field of computer-controlled machining.
  • You'll learn on the newest technology and equipment.
