Prerequisite: A "C" grade or better in a college level composition I course. Studies major movements and themes in American literature as they appear in the works of important authors from the Puritan period to and including the Age of Romanticism. Credit may be earned in either LIT 271W or LIT 271HW, but not in both. (45-0)
