Spring/Summer Schedule FAQs

The College will move to the spring/summer schedule of the 4-day workweek Monday through Thursday starting the second week of the spring semester through the month of July.

Executive Council established that the core office hours will be 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Employees will be expected to work 9.5 hours per day plus .50 spring/summer time. (Employee schedules will be dependent upon supervisor approval and will be based upon the needs of their department. For example, some may work 8:00 am – 6:00 pm or 7:00 am – 5:00 pm)

You would report 10 hours of vacation for the day. You must round up to the hour in reporting vacation. (AP report leaves in half-day or full-day increments and Support Staff in hourly increments)

You would report a half-day of vacation as 5 hours. Exempt employees are exempt from overtime and do not report in hourly increments. Please review the Department of Labor website or Delta's Vacation Procedure for more information.

For reporting purposes, you would enter the actual number of hours worked for each day plus 30 additional minutes (9.5 per day plus .50 spring/summer time) of spring/summer time. If you need additional clarification on reporting this time please contact the Human Resources Office at x9104 or the Payroll Office at x9388.

Timesheets are available at any time during the two-week payroll period. You may submit your timesheet on Thursday before leaving or from off campus before midnight on Friday.

Part-time employees report actual hours worked per day during the spring/summer 4-day workweek.
