Board Policy 1.001

    1. Delta College Policy – A general statement that identifies a course of action which enables individual members of the College community to operate in a collective effort to meet a College goal or function.
      NOTE: Requires the approval of the Board of Trustees.
    2. Delta College Procedure – A definitive statement that identifies the action, method, or manner in which specific departments or personnel will consistently implement policy to achieve Delta College objectives.
      NOTE: Requires the approval of the Office of the President of the College.

    3. Delta College Guideline – A philosophical position or base provided to advise individuals on how to manage situations which may arise for which no defined policies or procedures exist or which may assist in the interpretation of, or utilization of, policies or procedures.
      NOTE: Requires the approval of the department(s)/division(s) affected or that of the Office of the President of the College.
