Coming to Campus

Those who come to campus should do the following:

  • Complete a health screening before coming to campus, each and every time.
  • Review safety practices outlined by the CDC.
  • Building entrances are limited due to screening process. Look for directional signage.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and national developments, as well as Delta’s response to COVID-19.

Health screenings for students

Students are required to complete a health screening before arriving to campus. The screening includes a list of questions that can be accessed from Delta’s phone app on the main page. (Find the app by searching "Delta College" in your app store.)

Currently, access to main campus will occur through three entrances for students and visitors (east and west side of the Pioneer Gym, as well as the south side of the building), where health screener employees will be located. All other entrances will be locked. Each student will show they have completed and passed this screening before being permitted to enter any of Delta’s facilities. Students who do not have the capability to use the app, or forget to complete the screening, will be given a paper form to complete at the entry locations.

If you have any questions about coming to campus or the screening, please reach out to us at or 989-686-9455.

Health screenings for faculty & staff

Faculty and staff members are also required to complete a health screening before arriving to campus. The screening can be accessed on the Portal homepage or by visiting

Out-of-state Travel for students

Traveling out of the state? When you return, you'll need to report that on your daily screening form. Whether you need to quarantine or not, will depend on the positivity rate of the state you visited, at the time you visited, and your vaccination status.

Unvaccinated Students

Delta College is requiring a ten-day quarantine, from date of return to Michigan, on unvaccinated students who have traveled to a state with a positivity rate at or above 10%. We use Johns Hopkins University as our resource for up-to-date data on testing trends.

States that are not reporting their testing data to Johns Hopkins are automatically considered above 10% and the student will be asked to quarantine for ten-days from return to Michigan.

Please use the daily COVID screener to report your travel. You will receive an email from our COVID team requesting more information such as where you traveled and date of return so we can determine your ability to come to campus and seek accommodation from your instructors if necessary.

Vaccinated Students

Students who are fully vaccinated for COVID at the time of travel and have verified their vaccination status with Delta College will not need to quarantine for out of state travel (unless they are experiencing symptoms). Students are considered to be fully vaccinated if at least two weeks have passed since they have received the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

If you have been vaccinated please verify your vaccination status with Delta College.
