Every student that walks through Delta's doors has a unique path that brought them here. Check out some of the stories behind our big thinkers and how Delta has helped them along the way. 


Sean Kohn

Sean returned to Delta for a fresh start. He found the perfect fit in the electrician program, receiving his associate degree with optimism about the fields he can pivot to.

Jennifer Lemmer With a family and a full-time job, Jennifer found success (and time) in getting her degree in nursing at Delta. She even discovered a passion for teaching in the process.

Jennifer Lemmer Before they met and got married, Jeremy and Christine attended Delta College as single parents with full-time jobs. Today, they both work for Dow.

Brian Kuch

After attending a four-year university, Brian realized it wasn’t for him. He found a job in construction management and decided to advance his career by giving college another try.

Chris Galan After years of working in construction, Chris was ready to take his career to the next level. At the age of 32, he enrolled in the residential construction program and hasn’t looked back.

Fatimah Kahn

In between high school classes and running a successful baking company, Fatimah is preparing for college life by dual enrolling at Delta.

David Ross David, a 2019 graduate, worked in banking for several years before finding his calling in healthcare. The registered nurse now works for Covenant HealthCare and volunteers for the Covid-19 vaccine clinic at Delta.

Katlin EscamillaDelta College graduate Katlin wants to take care of Earth, so she’s setting her sights on a career in renewable energy. Her dream job is to work for a wind energy farm, where she can make an impact now and in the future.
