T/LC Staff and Students Attend Conferences
October was a busy month for T/LC staff and students. Jim Valkenburg presented at the National College Learning Center Association COnference, the TRENDS Conference, and the MichiganTutorial Association (MTA) Conference. Elizabeth Dewey attended the League for Innovation's Conference on Information Technoology and the MTA conference. Karen Treadway, Randy Rummel, and students David Peters, Colin Ohl, Stacie Keipinger, and Ronda Carnicom attended MTA as well. SLA Facilitators James Cherry and Alecia Delcore gave a well-received presentation at MTA as well.
T/LC Website Wins Award!

The T/LC's website tied for third place in the annual awards for learning support center website excellence co-sponsored by the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA) and the Learning Support Centers in Higher Education (LSCHE) website. The T/LC's was the only website from a community college to take an award this year. This is the second time T/LC has won third place, as well as a pair of honorable mentions, since the contest begain in 2000. Director Jim Valkenburg received the plaque at the NCLCA's annual conference in Denver (where he was also a presenter) and it's on display in the T/LC. |

Walk-in tutoring is available whenever we are open. Tutoring for all subjects may not always be available.

- Sunday: 1 pm - 5:30 pm
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am - 8 pm
- Friday: 7:30 am- 4 pm
- Saturday: 10 am - 2 pm
- Wednesday, November 25: 7:30 am - 3 pm
- CLOSED Thursday-Sunday, November 26-29
- Normal hours resume Monday, November 30

- Randy Rummel will be out of the office on Friday, November 20.
- Sheilanthi Chandran will be out of the office after noon on Thursday, Nov. 19, and all day Monday - Wednesday, November 23-25
- Linda Krukowski will be out of the office on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 24-25
- Kris Neveau, Elizabeth Dewey, Cheryl Gadeken, Jon Gittins, and Dave Witbrodt willl be out of the office on Wednesday, November 25; T/LC closes at 3 pm that day
- Delta College is CLOSED at 3 pm Wednesday, Nov. 25, and closed all day Thursday - Sunday, November 26-29
- Karen Treadway will be out of the office on Monday, November 30
