The Architectural Technology program prepares individuals to assist architects, construction engineers, urban planners, and other design personnel in development of building or site projects. Courses in the program include instruction in architectural drafting, computer-assisted drafting and design, construction methods and materials, environmental systems, building codes and standards, structural principles, cost estimation, and planning documentation. Occupation associated with this program are architectural technician, draftsperson, building appraiser, building estimator, building inspector, and contractor supervisor.
Architectural Technology Degree
This program prepares you for a technical level career, but some courses are transferable to baccalaureate degree programs in Architecture. If you want to be an architect, you are advised to consult with a counselor about transfer requirements.
