Validation Process
STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR VALIDATION PROCESS
STEP I:
Complete and submit the Validation Application form to the Registrar's Office. The form may be submitted from the start date of the semster to the end of the semester in which you complete your pre-requisites.
STEP II: Notification of Validation Status (Validated or Not Validated)
Your validation application will be evaluated to make sure you have all the required courses/test scores for the program you applied for. You will receive notification no later than 30 days after the application deadline. You will be notified by mail as to whether you have met the requirements or if there is something that is missing or that does not meet the requirements.
STEP III: Registration
A special registration will be held for validated students to enter the restricted enrollment courses of these programs. Check each semester's Course Guide booklet or online at www.delta.edu for special registration dates, times, and offerings. Special registrations are usually held in June for Fall semester, October for Winter semester, and March for Spring/Summer semester. NOTE: If you have not been an active student at Delta College in the two years prior to your registration, you must call the Admissions Office and be re-admitted as an active student. You will need to do this prior to your registration date/time.
STEP IV: Certification of Registration and Payment
Registration for validated students will not be official until it has been verified that you have met all requirements and have not registered before your appointed time (within one week after registration). Once you receive a letter verifying that your registration is official, payment can be made. Please check for the payment deadline for the semester you are registering. Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in being dropped for non-payment.
STEP V: Orientation
Once you are registered and payment is made, you must attend the mandatory orientation. The Program Coordinator may inform you of the date and time of orientation. Orientation information is listed in the Course Guide booklet and online at www.delta.edu.
