Course Description

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: RT 207, RT 212, RT 214, RT 216, RT 226, RT 229, RT 231.

Concurrent enrollment in RT 234, RT 240, RT 244, RT 246. must be taken concurrently. Presents the study of advanced cardiopulmonary physiology as the basis for evaluation and treatment of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology. (45-0)

  • Explain the compensation that takes place with respiratory or metabolic acid/base disturbances.
  • Using the nomogram of Pco2/Hco2-/pH relationship, interpret arterial blood gases.
