Building Our Future

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Delta College invites you to Building Our Future: Our Education & Our Community a Hispanic/Latino Round Table Discussion on October 12, from 5:30-7pm, at the Saginaw Ricker Center.

Panel members and attendees will discuss issues the Hispanic/Latino as well as urban communities face with education and everyday life. We’ll address the problems that are known and unknown, and look to develop different ways we can help solve these problems.

Our discussion leaders are:

  • Dr. Elsa Olvera, Director of Educational Opportunity Center at Delta College
  • Monica Hernandez, MA, LLPC, Associate Counselor and Adjunct Faculty at Delta College
  • Michael Espinoza, CRPC, B.B.A, President of Yeo & Yeo Financial Services
  • Members of Delta College’s Society of Hispanic Leaders student organization -- Angelo Kapp, Delta College graduate and undergraduate student at Northwood University, Jessica Fehrman, Delta College graduate and undergraduate student at Saginaw Valley State University, and Adelina Gutierrez, Delta College graduate and undergraduate student at the University of Michigan.
