2013 Awards
The Teaching/Learning Center is pleased to announce the winner of the 2013 Mary Jane Cooper Award. Luis Lambert is this year's Peer Tutor of the Year.
In the fall of 2012, Luis began working for the T/LC as a peer tutor, Study Group Facilitator and clerical assistant at the front desk. Luis has earned his Level 2/Advanced CLRA certification this semester. Tutoring biology and math up to MTH 119, Luis has also taken additional courses to expand the areas where he can help students. Dependable and hard-working are hallmarks of Luis' commitment to the T/LC and student success. As Luis said when receiving this award, "It's more than a job, it's a passion."
Luis is a great representative of the excellence of the T/LC student staff. Congratulations to Luis!
