The need for evaluating Internet resources, and particularly for evaluating World Wide Web resources, is increasing. Your assignment is to:

• choose a topic
• locate two Web sites on your topic
• cite your two Web sites using the proper MLA or APA standards
• write a paragraph explaining why your site is good or bad. Decide whether or not your chosen Web sites are appropriate to your topic using the questions listed below.

• Is it clear who is sponsoring the page? If yes, who? IF no, who do you think is sponsoring the page?
• Is there a way of verifying the legitimacy of the page’s sponsor? That is, is there a phone number or postal address to contact for more information? List the postal address and/or phone number. 
• Is it clear who wrote the material and are the author’s qualifications for writing on this topic clearly stated? If yes, include the author’s name and qualifications. If the material is protected by copyright, is the name of the copyright holder given? If so, be sure to include the name of the copyright holder. 
• Are there dates on the page to indicate when the page was written? If so, include when the page was last revisited or originally written?  
• Are there sources for any factual information clearly listed so they can be verified in another source? In other words, do they include a bibliography or list of sources in which they took their information?
