Wilson Web has merged with EBSCO. In January 2012, EBSCO will provide the following Wilson Web databases BUT the format of these databases that many students are use to, will be different. FirstSearch provides access to an electronic collection of bibliographic, abstract, and some full-text information from books, magazines, journals, newspapers, and the World Wide Web. Many of the very popular databases (periodical indexes), such as Readers Guide Abstracts and Social Science Abstracts that were located within FirstSearch, have moved home to Wilson Web. OmniFile Full Text Select is a renamed replacement for WilsonSelectPlus. OmniFile Full Text Select is very similar to WilsonSelectPlus and contains full-text articles on a variety of subjects. "The ARTstor Digital Library is a nonprofit resource that provides more than one million digital images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences with accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. Our community-built collections comprise contributions from outstanding international museums, photographers, libraries, scholars, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates."

CINAHL Basic (On-campus link)

Provides indexing for 2,931 journals with 1,000,000 records dating back to 1981, covering nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. In addition, this database offers indexing to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals and book chapters. Searchable cited references for more than 1,200 journals are also included. Full text material includes 70 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials. Contains limited full text (70 journals).

Chronicle of Higher Education
"Delta College has purchased a college-wide site license for the The Chronicle of Higher Education." The full-text of each print issue is accessible from 1989 to the present.  Delta Library owns the current year plus the last twelve months in print. The online version of "Chronicle of Higher Education" is available from ON-CAMPUS. Access is not available from off-campus.

Provides information covering the pros and cons of many "hot" topics. This resource is provided by Facts on File, a well-known publisher of current, historical, and statistical information.

Journals (JSTOR) that can be accessed by the LLIC
The "Moving Wall" that defines the time lag between the most current issue published and the content available in JSTOR.  "JSTOR was founded in 1995 to build trusted digital archives for scholarship.  Today, JSTOR works with the scholarly community to preserve their work and the materials they rely upon, and to build a common research platform that promotes the discovery and use of these resources." "With participation and support from the international scholarly community, JSTOR has created a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive of scholarship, is actively preserving over one thousand academic journals in both digital and print formats, and continues to greatly expand access to scholarly works and other materials needed for research and teaching globally. JSTOR is investing in new initiatives to increase the productivity of researchers and to facilitate new forms of scholarship."

Loislaw offers complete access to up-to-date primary law at the federal level and for all fifty states and the District of Columbia. This resource includes searchable access to Federal and State law databases including: U.S. Supreme Court Reports, Federal Circuit Courts, U.S. District Courts, U.S. Tax Court, Federal Rules, U.S. Constitution, U.S. Code, Public Laws of the United States, Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Register, U.S. Sentencing Commission Guidelines Manual, and Court rules and other primary law for all 50 states and Washington D.C. This database also features hyperlinks to all cited state and federal cases, statutes and other primary law.

PubMed and the National Library of Medicine  (On-Campus and Off-Campus)
PubMed is a free service of the National Library of Medicine, that provides access to over 11 million MEDLINE citations back to the mid-1960's and additional life science journals. PubMed can provide some links to sites with free full-text articles and resources.

Scientific Journals from the Institute of Physics
The Institute of Physics provides online access to scientific journals. Some of the publications provide the full-text of the article, free of charge. The site provides a search box for searching the journals and obtaining a citation and abstract for those journals that are not accessible free of charge. Once you receive a citation, you can contact the Delta Library Reference Desk or Interlibrary Loan Department in order to try to interlibrary loan a copy of the article, for free. Please call the Reference Desk at 686-9560 or Interlibrary Loan Department at 686-9013.

SIRS Renaissance (On-campus link)
Off-Campus Link (requires Delta username and password for access)
Provides dynamic information on the following topics: architecture and design, culture, literature, multimedia, music, performing arts, philosophy and religion, and visual arts. Full-text articles are selected from more than 1,200 domestic and international publications. Many articles are accompanied by full-color images, including art reproductions, photographs, and illustrations.

Holdings List for Periodicals that can be found in the ONLINE databases (indexes)
Provides a single alphabetical listing of periodicals which contain full-text articles from the Michigan eLibrary databases. This list covers the databases (indexes) that are part of FirstSearch and InfoTrac.
