InfoTrac is a database/index that can lead you to full-text articles OR the citations of articles from magazines such as Time, Newsweek, Smithsonian, Readers Guide, and U.S. News and World Report.
This tutorial will show you how to use InfoTrac to find articles in SPECIFIC general magazines such as: Time, Newsweek, Smithsonian, Readers Guide, and U.S. News and World Report.
STEP ONE:
The library's magazine and journal web page is located at http://www.delta.edu/llic/libraryresearch/journalsandmagazines.aspx.
Once you access this web page, you will need to click on the InfoTrac ON-campus link if you are accessing InfoTrac from ON CAMPUS OR you will need to click on the InfoTrac OFF-campus link if you are accessing InfoTrac from OFF CAMPUS. These are two DIFFERENT links. OFF-campus access requires you to use your Delta College username and password.

STEP TWO:
You need to access the "Advanced Search" screen, so CLICK ON THE CONTINUE BUTTON.

STEP THREE:
Click on "ADVANCED SEARCH."

STEP FOUR:
Type your keywords within the search box.

STEP FIVE:
Type the title of the magazine within the search box and the title should appear.

STEP SIX:
CLICK on the "Search" button and the computer will search for articles/citations about stem cells within Newsweek.
